Shea butter is rich in terpene alcohols (karitene) and a smaller quantity of phytosterols , substances that give emollient, hydrating and regenerating properties to the skin barrier, improving the firmness and elasticity of the skin.
It also contains tocopherols (vitamin E) with natural antioxidant action , which help protect the skin from oxidative stress. Squalene supports skin trophism , stimulating the repair processes of the dermis and epidermis and promoting healthier and more resistant skin.
